Broadband World Forum 2012
Well it's nearly Broadband World Forum time and Ventura Team will be there. Richard Jones is chairing an exciting session titled Innovate in the afternoon on the 18th that will highlight some of the new ideas needed to generate revenues in these difficult times. He will also be chairing a session in Content Hub 1 on the 16th about the challenges for rural areas - then giving a presentation on these issues.

FTTH Forum event - Istanbul - 7-8 November 2012
Ventura Team is helping the FTTH Forum this year to produce their event in Istanbul. Richard Jones is chairing the event with Stefan Stanislawski (who has been working on cutting edge, finance initiatives to tackle some of the problems in the FTTH space). Richard's been working on some groundbreaking thinking about why operators are wasting money on deployments by concentrating on the wrong things. A 14% diference in the IRR for a project is not to be ignored.

There's nothing like rolling your sleeves up and doing something for real. Well, our startup in Sweden (Riksnet) has been ranked in the top 5 globally for broadband service value by Point Topic. With 120,000 subscribers and nearly a million homes passed, it provides TV, broadband and voice services. 100 meg symmetric services are less than $12 a month and so the operation is highly efficient - e.g. 2,500 subscribers per employee.
